Dracula Live in Concert

The American director Francis Ford Coppola, enchanted by the soundtrack to Andrzej Wajda’s The Promised Land, commissioned Wojciech Kilar to compose the music for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Thus the Polish composer found himself in Hollywood; he wrote a masterpiece which takes a special place in the history of Polish film music and which is still regarded as one of the finest horror soundtracks of all time.

Awarded three Oscars for Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Best Sound Editing, the cult film starring Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Monica Bellucci and Anthony Hopkins resounds with monumental orchestral music with powerful choirs. The concert is a world premiere of this international title and the first co-production of the affiliated FMF and FIMUCITÉ festivals. The event is led by Don Davis, author of the music to The Matrix films.
