Krakow, Woman – Knowledge – Power 2015

The leading theme is Metropolis. The film serves as a framework for reflection on the development of new technologies and women’s participation in this process. It determines the themes of the conference and exhibition, and serves as the axis around which this year’s project is built. The 1930s saw a fascination with industrialization and technology. It was then that Fritz Lang’s film “Metropolis” was created. The conference and exhibition develop the theme “Women in Metropolis, Man, and Technology” from a historical and contemporary perspective, showing how technological developments influenced changes in employment and social roles.
