...From the very first bars, it is clear that the Beethoven Academy Orchestra from Kraków—founded in 2003—is composed of the most gifted young musical talents in Poland.

For over 23 years, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra has been one of the leading Polish symphonic ensembles of the young generation. It is formed by the finest Polish students and graduates of top European music academies. The orchestra was founded in 2003, following a successful debut at the 53rd Festival of Young Artists in Bayreuth.

In 2005, thanks to Elżbieta Penderecka, the orchestra made its debut at the 9th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw, receiving outstanding reviews and numerous invitations to renowned festivals in Poland and abroad.

To date, the ensemble has recorded forty-two albums, including releases for DUX Poland, Dellos USA, and Universal Music. Their credits also include film score recordings for Marvel Studios, Netflix, Warner Bros, and Monolith.

Since its inception, the orchestra has been under the artistic and executive direction of its founder, Marcin Klejdysz. Its high artistic standard is reflected in collaborations with some of the most revered figures in the music world, including Prof. Krzysztof Penderecki, Jacek Kaspszyk, Jean-Luc Tingaud, José Cura, Christian Vásquez, Steven Isserlis, Krzysztof Jabłoński, Aleksandra Kurzak, Gautier Capuçon, Kevin Kenner, Andrea Bocelli, and Lang Lang.

The ensemble has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including three appearances at the Musikverein in Vienna, the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, among others.

At the orchestra’s commission, Oscar-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal wrote his Symphony No. 3 for Soprano and Orchestra, based on the poetry of Barbara Sadowska.
