Following its New Year’s success with Nigel Kennedy in 2016, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra once again invites you to a New Year’s jazz concert at the ICE KRAKÓW Congress Centre. On the first afternoon of January 2018, together with the outstanding jazz vocalist AGA ZARYAN – multiple Fryderyk Award winner and composer of the music for the film Tragedia dziewczyny ulicznej (The Tragedy of a Street Girl) – the artists will take you on an extraordinary journey into the GOLDEN AGE OF JAZZ. The 90-minute one-act musical performance, accompanied by the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, the EUROPEAN JAZZ TRIO, The Cracow Singers choir and featuring the talented jazz flutist Ewelina Serafin, will transport you to the unforgettable and extraordinary atmosphere of the 1950s and 1960s, with standards inspired by the works of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles.
The event will be hosted by journalist and music columnist Marcin Majchrowski.
