The Parish of All Saints in Sobolów, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, and the Ludwig van Beethoven Association, led by Elżbieta Penderecka, cordially invite the residents of Sobolów and the surrounding area to listen to a special concert, which will take place for the third time as part of the “Still Polish Music” series at the Parish Church in Sobolów on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at 12:00 PM.
The concert will be part of the “Still Polish Music…” series, presenting the most valuable, forgotten works of Polish music from the 18th and 19th centuries against the backdrop of European masterpieces. The core of the project, as reflected in its title, is the preservation of Polish cultural heritage as a determinant of shaping national identity.
The Sunday concert will feature one of Poland’s most distinguished soloists, Janusz Wawrowski, winner of the International Beethoven Competition. Henryk Wieniawski, who, together with the Beethoven Academy Orchestra as soloist and conductor, will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” and Mieczysław Karłowicz’s “Serenade for Strings.” Co-financed by the Małopolska Voivodeship, the Sobolów Parish, and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
