The concert inaugurating the 11th edition of the original festival series exploring unknown Polish music. In the extraordinary acoustics of the Performance Hall of the Youth Palace on Gumniska Street in Tarn\u00f3w, Roman Palester’s 1931 diploma work will be performed for the first time in the world. Psalm V for baritone, mixed choir and orchestra, with lyrics by Wespazjan Kochowski taken from the collection Niepr\u00f3\u017cnuj\u0105ce pr\u00f3\u017cnowanie (Unidle Idleness), will be performed in a version edited by the composer in 1988.<\/p>\n
The Beethoven Orchestra, together with Vincent Kozlovsky, continues its series of recordings of this composer’s works, following the success of Ko\u0142aczy, Czes\u0142aw Mi\u0142osz’s Three Poems and Letters to Mother. Psalm V was awarded second prize in the Wielkopolska Association of Singing Societies Competition in Pozna\u0144 in 1932 and, according to the composer, is his leading and most recommended work.
