01.09.2019 - Polish Requiem – Krzysztof Penderecki, Warsaw
To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of World War II Outbreak, at invitation of the President of Poland, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra will perform Krzysztof Penderecki's Polish Requiem. The composer as the witness of the history, devoted this composition, or rather these compositions, to honor the most important events of the post-war rebirth of Poland. The composition is a series of minor, independent works written over the course of 26 years. Concert will be broadcasted.
