07.09.2024 – XVI International Music Festival Music On The Heights, Zakopane
The inaugural concert of the 16th edition of the International Festival of Music on the Peaks. We will present Gavin Bryars' 1993 “Mercury Prize” winning masterpiece from 1971 based on the looped motif of an unknown homeless man singing a short improvised stanza. The piece was first recorded for a documentary film detailing street life around Elephant and Castle and Waterloo in London.
The concert will conclude with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Coronation Mass, dedicated to Salzburg Cathedral.
